Warm messages in cold climates
Germany and France are at the forefront of a new AUD 1 million marketing campaign. Billboards and marketing material are on display in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Cologne. Meanwhile an extensive online marketing campaign is being carried out in France on popular travel websites.
The AUD 600,000 Best of Australia campaign in Germany is a joint Tourism Queensland and Tourism New South Wales campaign supported by Emirates Airlines, Queensland Rail and wholesaler FTI. Another Facebook and YouTube campaign that involves Tourism Queensland, Tourism Tropical North Queensland, Qantas and FTI is being finalised by The Conjoint Marketing Group and is scheduled to be launched in early March.
The AUD 250,000 How Australian Are You? Campaign, launched in France, is a joint Tourism Queensland , Tourism New South Wales and Tourism Australia project supported by Emirates and French wholesalers Australie a la Carte and Vacances Australie.
In the year to September 2010, there were 78,000 German and 42,000 French visitors to Queensland.
