Australasian Safari returns to Western Australia
Western Australia plays host to the Australasian Safari for the fifth time this year. The event, which is often referred to as Australia’s version of Paris to Dakar desert endurance race, showcases the incredibly diverse landscape the state has to offer.
The event runs from September 22 to 30.
As part of the Australasian Safari adventure competitors will traverse outback roads and tracks via a route that takes in a great variety of geographical challenges. The inclusion of varying vehicles types, participating in either a competitive or touring element, allows for a spectacle like no other in Western Australia’s amazing Outback
This year, the Australasian Safari also offers an adrenalin-packed adventure for competent dirt bike or trail bike riders. The seven-day off-road tour, from Perth through the remote northern goldfields to historic Kalgoorlie, travels parts of the same route as competitors in the Australasian Safari.
Mountain bike tour participants will experience the best of the Australasian Safari and stay in the same overnight bivouac camps in outback WA as the greats of V8 and moto-riding.
