The Fringe is back in Adelaide

The annual Adelaide Fringe is back from February 13 to March 13. The largest arts event in Australia, it’s the highly successful answer to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Artists from around the world take part in the Adelaide gig, which runs over 24 very entertaining days and nights. With hundreds of cabaret, comedy, dance, theatre, music, film and visual arts events on offer, the city is completely overtaken by a festive vibe. Every nook and cranny is taken over by artists -- turning the whole of Adelaide into one eclectic stage.

The Adelaide Fringe is renowned for its fresh ideas, risk, imagination, spontaneity and fun – giving audiences the chance to see a range of unpredictable, unusual and completely new performances.

More than a million people attend the free and ticketed events at the festival, which features some 3,000 artists and more than 500 events at 260 venues.  The opening night party alone attracts more than 80,000 people.

Accommodation should be booked well in advance during the Adelaide Fringe. The Sebel Playford Adelaide is ideally located on the city’s vibrant North Terrace, just steps from the major tourist attractions. The hotel has a stunning Art Nouveau ambience, offers 182 rooms and suites, and is perfectly positioned to take in the city’s renowned restaurant and café precinct
